History of the Company
Being mortgage brokers in Newquay we were established in 1998 as general practitioners for independent financial advice, as the company directors we, Bob Gould and Michael Leech both have more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry.
Most of our business is derived from personal client recommendations or professional recommendation from accountants, solicitors and other I.F.A’s. We pride ourselves on our friendly, non biased advice on all aspects of personal and corporate financial planning.
Jake Leech
Director / Mortgage Advisor
Born and raised in Newquay, I have a young growing family and recently moved into a “fixer upper” which is keeping me busy! I have always enjoyed golf and if I have any free time, you will find me on the course – Current handicap 1. I lived in New Zealand for almost 2 years prior to starting at the firm just over 6 years ago.
Andy Willmott
Director / Financial Advisor
I have 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Previously I worked for NatWest as a bank manager. In the last 10 years I have been an Independent mortgage adviser and more recently financial adviser. Out of work I have a passion for sport, especially football and cricket, which I have represented various local clubs over the years. I have a fantastic family and the rest of my spare time is taken up as Dad’s cabs.
Brett Prentice
Office Manager
I have been with the company for over 6 years, having previously worked in finance for Cornwall College. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit, meeting up with friends and I love watching films and series. I spend most of my weekends traveling around Cornwall, playing football for St. Mawgan FC and casually playing Padel when I can.
Lorna Hatto
Office Administrator & Trainee Para-Planner
I moved down from Oxford to Cornwall 14 years ago, I have 26 years combined experience in property management & Residential lettings. I am very active and love to go sea swimming & boxing (Shout out to Newquay boxing academy!). Whenever I get the opportunity, I travel around America and last year took 6 weeks off work to explore Route 66.
Sarah Mungles
Office Administrator
Lucky enough to be born and bred in Cornwall, I’ve lived in Newquay now for nearly 12 years with Simon and my 2 miniature schnauzers, after moving up the coast from Hayle. I have over 20 years’ experience in varied administrative roles and recently decided to take a new direction after working for the NHS for 10 years. I enjoy traveling and have seen some wonderful places during my trips abroad although I’m now just as happy pottering at home, in the garden or looking after my extensive collection of house plants.
Bob Gould
Director
I have worked in Financial Services for 33 years, firstly for Britannic Assurance and the last 28 years as an IFA. I have been married to my wife Bev for 41 years and have twin girls, Rachel & Rebecca.
I enjoy playing Tennis & Golf, supporting Port Vale FC and exploring the amazing county of Cornwall.
Mike Leech
Director
Married with one son, Jake, who also works in the business. I have worked in Financial services for about 35 years and previously worked as a branch manager for Bristol and West building society before becoming a financial adviser.
In my younger days, I played football for Newquay, Falmouth and Truro as well as representing Cornwall at junior and senior levels. I was selected for England youth trials and captained the southwest of England against other regions of the country.
My main hobby now is golf and I’m a member at Newquay Golf Club and currently have a handicap of 7.
I also enjoy travel and my favourite destination is the Algarve in Portugal, which I visit as often as possible.
